Who Are We?
360 Connection Volunteer Tutor was founded in September 2020 during the early stage of the Covid-19 pandemic. A small group of high school students started virtually tutoring elementary students who suffered from academic challenges due to complications in the presence of the pandemic. Now, we are continuing our mission to offer learning opportunities for younger students.
Our Growth
Turtored students geographically from Southern California to New York and Philadelphia
During the school year, we rendered 57 high quality virtual group classes in various academic and enrichment subjects
During summer break, we provided 38 virtual group enrichment courses and one on one tutoring service.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
Tutor
Participate in orientation and new teacher training
Require 1.5 to 3 hours weekly coaching time, plus planning and preparing materials for the sessions; at least 4-month commitment
Send class reminder 5-15 minutes before the class; send a brief summary after each session.
Attend a monthly group meeting to reflect on the teaching
Log volunteer hours and submit advance absent notice to subject group leaders
Coach Group Leaders
Class observation and provide guidance and feedback to tutors’ performance
Subject Group Leaders
Provide new teacher training according to Standard of Practice Manual
Monthly check-in with subject group leaders
Keep track of group members’ attendance and absence requests and report to administrator
Attend regular meetings

Conduct and coordinate volunteer orientation, training, and recognition
Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers
Recruit, interview, and assign volunteer work
Keep track of volunteer hours
Manage WeChat group operation such as create, post class schedule and send reminders
Communicate with parents, tutors, and organization leaders
